Unlike most of the viral diseases that can be controlled or eradicated as long as effective vaccines are available, immune mediated viral diseases, as the name implied are diseases that can’t be controlled through vaccination & hence often fetal. This course begin with a general introduction of viral pathogenesis follow by the host immune responses, mechanisms of virus-induced immunopathology, and finally into the possible therapy. Lectures, intensive paper reading, presentation and discussion will all be included in the course.

Journal presentation & discussion:
The main focus of presentation & discussion will be on the current research findings concerning the mechanism and therapy of individual immune-mediated viral disease of animals or human.
